Green Onion Cheeseburgers with Burst Tomato-Tarragon Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce and additional toppings as desired
Instructions:
Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready
Put the chopped green onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and ground beef in a bowl
Add pepper and salt, and then mix everything together well
Make 4 burger patties out of the beef mixture that are all the same size
Put the burger patties on the grill or griddle and cook for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them
Making the Burst Tomato-Tarragon Sauce will take some time while the burgers are cooking
Put the olive oil in a small saucepan and heat it over medium-low heat
Mix in the garlic and cook for one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good
Put the cherry tomatoes in the pan and cook for three to four minutes, or until they start to burst and let out their juices
Some of the tomatoes should be gently mashed with a fork to make a chunky sauce
Add the chopped tarragon leaves and cook for one more minute
Add salt and pepper to taste to the sauce
Put the hamburger buns on a grill or griddle and toast them until they get a little brown
To put together the burgers, put lettuce on the bottom bun and then a cooked burger patty on top of it
Put the Burst Tomato-Tarragon Sauce on top of the patty and then add any other toppings you like
Place the other half of the bun on top and serve right away
