Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken
Deliciously crispy chicken breasts coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400F 200C
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper
In separate bowls, place flour and breadcrumbs
Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, ensuring they're fully coated
Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy
In a saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil
Cook over medium heat until garlic is fragrant
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry
Add to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens
Remove chicken from oven and brush with honey garlic sauce
Return chicken to the oven for an additional 5 minutes
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving
